So, when my husband thought that it would be a good idea to stay in a camper on our property, I laughed. I laughed a lot....and then I realized he was serious! He thought it would be a good idea since we are storing all our belongings in our garage and we would like to keep our belongings and not have someone rob us blind. He began looking for a camper when he had this idea. Next thing I know, he reconnected with a friend who moved to Tennessee but has a camper in storage near us, and he offers to let us use if for nothing. What?? Really?? This is really happening!
A little sidenote: Our new home is an off site stick built modular...meaning it's built just like a stick built, but it's built in a factory and brought to our lot and put together. There is a place closer to us that builds modular homes. It was at this time that I was have thoughts that maybe we should have gone with this closer company, thinking maybe they have a better built product or that they would have more to offer. Well, turned out the camper we were looking to borrow was being stored by the owner of this closer modular company! When my husband said he called him and told him what we were doing and what company we were using, I was a little mortified and even said, you are kidding me! I've been concerned that we should have gone with this company and now you have to go through the owner to get the camper you want!!...and then he told me that this company recently became a dealer for the same home company we are purchasing. The owner told my husband that the company we chose puts out a great built home. Wow...another concern squashed!
So the camper has arrived on our property and it's....shall I say...cozy. It was custom built for a single guy, not for a family of four but we can make it work. It has three beds, a shower, toilet, vanity, kitchen sink, fridge/freezer, and three burner stove...no oven. Looks like we're really doing this!
