The Ride Begins

For some time we have weighed our options when it comes to our home.  Do we build on? Do we try selling it and build? Do we just stay where we're at and do nothing?  All the while we were weighing our options, we really wanted to just stay in God's will for our family and our finances, and whatever that meant, we would be content.  Well, after several years of weighing our options, we felt the time had come to step up and make a decision and let that be our final decision.  After praying about it and talking it over a lot, we decided to try selling our house.  The key was that our house was a double wide and it would have to be moved by whoever purchased it.  Not only that, it was a newer home with a lot of upgrades, so our price would be higher than what other used doublewides would be.  This being said, we didn't know how long it would take the right person to come along, or even if there would ever be the right person.  But we went ahead with our plan and figured if it didn't sell then we were meant to stay in it.  Well, after only two day of two pictures of our kitchen being on a home dealers website, we had a buyer....a serious buyer.  Two days!!  Who has a buyer for any house in two days, let alone a 10 year old double wide that has to be moved!  This is where our adventure begins....and what an adventure it has been so far.  Along the way, we've had moments of doubt that we have questioned if we were really doing what God wanted us to do but then He would show up in some amazing, give you chills, kind of way.  For example, when we found our how much our taxes would be going up, we stopped and said, but there is so much we could do with that money?  God, is this really okay to spend this money on taxes on this home??  Is this really where we are meant to be??  Can we afford this, should we afford this?? That was my prayer...a prayer of lots of questions, knowing that I may not like but would accept the answers.  I was truly prepared to change our house plan, go smaller and do what we needed to get a lower tax rate.  The following day, my husband came home and said that out of the blue he had been approached by a local junior college.  They were starting a new program in his area of expertise and they needed someone to work with them to get it going and then teach some of the classes, and asked if he would be interested.  Wow....my immediate thought was of God saying, do you trust me now?!  I will provide all that you need, never ever doubt that!  Now, will you please enjoy the ride I am taking you on!....An amazing peace came over us and we knew that our adventure was going to be one unforgettable ride.
